About Anne Parker, FNP
Anne was born in Georgia. After roaming the South with her family, her father changed stations with his job at the VA and she landed here in Asheville for high school and college. She made a career change into nursing in the late 80’s, and earned her Master’s in Nursing at UT Knoxville in December 1992. She has worked as a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner since then starting at the Buncombe County Health Department in 1993, and has had experience in public health, allergy and asthma, clinical trials and family practice. She was a secretary for a Domestic Violence Task Force for many years and now volunteers for a local food bank in Asheville. She enjoys being with family, doing Qigong with friends, making windchimes with her husband, and putting together jigsaw puzzles.
She most recently worked at Family Care Home in Black Mountain and Old Fort until it closed 10/31/2025. She has been welcomed at Family Care of Fairview and the patients seen in Black Mountain and Old Fort are welcomed to continue care with her. She is accepting new patients.
She is a DOT certified medical examiner.
